Betrayal

Look at all the creation that God gave us. Everyday I see photos of beautiful places like those majestic mountains, lakes, flowing rivers, the falling snow, the color white in winter. I could also find funny pictures of big and small dogs, stupid cats, animals that make us cheerful. God made them all.

God gave us everything and we betrayed him. Can you imagine how God felt when people sinned against Him and mocked Him? After giving us precious things dear to us we would only rebel? Why? What did God do to deserve our hate?

Just like Adam and Eve, they disobeyed God. They betrayed His trust. After God gave the earth to them, they still became unfaithful to Him. It is us who betrayed Him, and yet we blame others.

When Jesus walked with men, He healed the sick, fed the poor and made signs and marvelous miracles and even raising the dead! But what did men do to him? We put him in a stake to die a horrible death. He never sinned; he never blamed anyone else.

Repentance means severe regret and remorse. Do we feel that when we ask for forgiveness? We felt so bad after we have sinned and swore not to do it again? That is repentance. Repentance means not repeating the same mistake twice, or else we fool ourselves by committing the same sin again and again.

Ultimately, God knows our hearts. This is the time of repentance and healing, and a time to thank God for the wonderful things he gave us.
