God said that He is our Protector, Refuge and Strength. He will defend us when calamity hits our lives:

I waited patiently for the LORD. He turned to me and heard my cry for help. 2 He pulled me out of a horrible pit, out of the mud and clay. He set my feet on a rock and made my steps secure. 3 He placed a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see this and worship. They will trust the LORD.
When we kneel and pray, we show God that we are sincere on our requests, and He will grant it.
Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks. Matthew 7:7-8
The Message
Yesterday, I went out to buy some food. While walking in the streets, I saw a beggar asking me for food. So, I signaled him to wait. I bought two hotdog sandwiches to go and when I met the beggar again on my way home, I gave him the other sandwich.
This afternoon, I saw him again, but he wasn’t asking for food. He was just waiting. So, I bought food just for myself.
The lesson in this is that when someone is asking you for something, usually people will be loving to give especially with Christians. When he did ask, I gave. But, when he didn’t ask, I never gave.
When we need something from God like money or a new job, we shouldn’t be ashamed of asking God. The truth is God want you to ask Him, and when you asked anything in His name, He will give it to you. What we must do is receive His blessing when He gives it to us and glorify His abundant grace.
I hope you learned something in this message and apply it in your situation. Sometimes, we ourselves are our greatest enemy because of our thoughts. Jesus Christ said this, this is His word. We must believe right to live right. If we ask for forgiveness, He will gladly give it to us without punishment or any disgrace. This is a gift that we just have to receive.

I am glad to share to you my album called, “Holy.” It is about the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. We cannot live without Him, or it is impossible to follow and obey God’s commandments without Him. The Holy Spirit is God’s mark of ownership.
