Heat Feet

I walked for more than 15 hours when I left my house before the volcano erupted (All praises to God). I can distinctly remember the time when my foot started to hurt, and I removed my slippers and walked bare footed. The road was so hot that it’s burning my feet like hell, and I immediately sat on the ground and put on my slippers.

Today, as I was reading the news (at my parent’s house), it says that there is a heatwave going on in Europe. Temperature is reaching fever level at 45 degree Celsius! Then, I realized that what’s making urban areas so hot is because of roads. The heat from our roads is making our place so hot because of this.

As I was reading the Bible, I came across a verse about locusts eating the grass as God’s punishment. It later dawned on me that grass could make the Earth cooler. I remember that every morning, you could see morning dew forms on grass that makes cooler air because of water droplets. Logic dictates that putting grass on side-walks could make urban areas cooler because of the morning dew that are collected by the grass.

I hope this solution can solve the problem of heatwaves that are plaguing the world that even many people died because of this. I couldn’t stress so much for its importance. Praise God!

Ask For Rest

“We’ve been through hell, but we’re still here!”

Sometimes, when times are getting tough on me, I mistaken it for something bad in my life. The truth is, wherever we are right now, there is a purpose, and that purpose is something good. I mean usually, or every time.

Instinctively, people react bad when something is different, but the truth is it’s something better from God. IF it comes from a true Christian.

For God did not make death, nor does he delight in the death of the living. He created all things so that they might have existence, and the creatures of the world give life. There is no deadly poison in any of them, and the domain of hell is not on the earth, for righteousness is immortal.

Wisdom 13-15

I am wrong when I said I’ve been through hell. Actually, I had quite a lot of working to the point of exhaustion. We are all exhausted to the bone, what we need is God to heal us and give us rest. The Lord Jesus Christ will give us rest IF we pray to Him that prayer.

Ask, Seek, Knock. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”

Matthew 7:7

Go ahead, just ask God!

Perfect Time To Buy Or Rent EVs

There is news that the UK is having a petrol shortage because of the pandemic and Brexit. Since everyone needs to go to work, this is the best time to buy or rent electric cars.

The other day, I was watching this new company who manufactured a small electric car, and it’s become the fastest selling car in the market. It’s called, “Wu Ling,” if I’m not mistaken, and it was a collaboration between a Chinese company and an American company, General Motors. It became a hit in China. I watched the video and saw owners putting artwork like the Pikachu theme to their cute cars. But, the interesting part is how it was designed because they’ve designed it in such a way that it can be handled like a regular gasoline car. In short, they made it easy for drivers to adjust to driving their first electric vehicle without a steep learning curve.

That should be our goal in pursuing functional design for a new product, and that is to mimic as much as possible the old way of doing things. The same thing goes to designing an interface for an app, or website, or any other product.

The Little Things In Life

I can’t forget the time I go out and eat burgers while watching the cars pass by the road across the school. Noisy students would dine there and share secret glances at each other. The cashier would give me a big smile and eagerly ask my order, patiently waiting on every word I gave. I was careful enough not to give the wrong order; I want it to be short and sweet. So, she would put me aside and wait some more. Sometimes, those cashiers forget to put extra ketchup for my french fries and cover for my paper cup of bubbly Coke.

Ah yes, it was almost two years ago that day happened until the pandemic struck. Now, I eat biscuits with cheese spread to placate my appetite, and drink hot choco to warm the day. It’s strange don’t you think how things change? How do we miss the little things in life and what gives life meaning?

Here we are struggling to cope with all the losses. Forget the bank accounts, I thank God I’ve saved something for this tragedy. And yet, I felt like it’s a revival of sorts. Bringing us back to the reality that we humans need God for His grace and mercy, and His compassion.

I learned more about God than any other point in my life. This crisis has turned into a pilgrimage of sorts, to walk with God and fully depend on His kindness. I love God more than ever! And, sometimes the small things in life like reading the Bible brought me closer to my Creator, Lord and Savior.

Amen to that!

It’s A Web!

Websites. Can’t live with them, can’t live without them. Nowadays, people are queuing online. Who goes first is like a raffle draw and nobody knows when the delivery will arrive at your doorstep. Deliveries have reached the threshold and it’s carrying the heavy burden of the actual packing and deliveries. We need an army to do this.

Online sales are skyrocketing no doubt about that. How about brick and mortar stores? How are they coping with the lock-down? Even the president says that small businesses are the lifeblood of the economy. How will they survive a world without a place where people pick up items, put it inside the cart, wait in line and pay for the products? The answer is the Web!

The web is constantly evolving. Creating your websites used to be a chore and it will take weeks to put up an online shop. But nowadays, it’s automatic. In JUST seconds, you’ll have a website up and running, ready for the WORLD to see, AND it became so cheap even third world countries can have one.

I can’t recommend you one because it’s a disservice to other hosting providers if I didn’t mention them because what’s the point of having a business? Just go to Wikipedia or search it on Google. Do a little research, do your homework before diving in. However, there is a small problem. You see, online stores are great for customers, but security remains a big problem. Now that hackers know everyone is joining, it’s becoming very rampant and common. So, my advice is, create hard passwords and use two-factor authentication. This will help secure your hosting provider enormously. Invest in a good password manager, as I always suggest, and use genuine software, movies, music, etc. Be good and God will always be good.

Lastly, if you don’t know anything about technology, hire a web specialist, IT consultant or a friend who knows his craft.

I hope that you will always remember that God will always be with you. If you get stuck on the web, just pray.

Where Is Peace?

Everyone is noisy. In your home, in your TVs, smartphones, ads, in your head, in your heart, it’s a menace! There is not a second that is still and quiet. All of the chatter is about noise, and we ask ourselves, “Where is peace?”

I am afraid of so many things. What will be this day be like, what will be tomorrow, will I survive a day without pain? And I always find myself waking up at 3 AM, sitting in the dining room praying. Then, right there and then I realized that it was so quiet that I could hear the clock ticking and there was peace. It became my habit because I long for it. I want to feel God’s presence not just in my mind but in my heart.

God spoke to me about Joshua on what God said and commanded him because Joshua was too afraid. He commanded Joshua to be determined and confident. He always reminds him, “Do not be afraid. I am with you.”

Solution

A problem exists in all kinds of human activity. People are the ones who cause problems and ironically solves it. Therefore, to solve the problem, we must avoid producing more humans.

Our country is ranked thirteenth in the world population even though we are a small country. It’s plagued with so many problems: drugs, crimes, corruption, teen births, bullying, traffic, water shortage, and the list goes on. We as people must NOT produce problems but solve it from its root. And, one of its root cause is money.

“For the love of money is a source of all kinds of evil.” Greed is the opposite of kindness, therefore the solution is so simple: Be kind. If you look at countries with the most population, it is obvious that it lacks money. Money is the solution to our country’s problems, but because of greed people are deprived of it. If we just learn how to be kind, the problem of money just vanishes and everyone is happy, and thus the problems involved in the lack of it are solved.

The solution as you can see is NOT material, but spiritual. It is from this spirit that is the center of ALL things.

“The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”

Invent Something Awesome For 2019

Happy New Year! Ain’t that awesome? Here we are surviving at least to be MORE awesome in 2019!

I challenge you to invent something that will change the world. A machine, a song or even a poem to make people’s lives different (in a good way). Be Steve Jobs, be Nikola Tesla, be a hero! Saving the world is no easy task, but at least we’ve enjoyed the journey towards progress.

Invent to prosper!

Solving The Traffic Problem Using Mobile Apps

The traffic problem is getting worse. As population rise, traffic will become an everyday issue for all of us. Transportation is key to economic growth that is why governments spend huge amounts of money to build bigger roads, skyways and having electric trains for the future.

So how exactly a mobile app can solve the traffic problem? One word: “Crowdsourcing.” By harnessing the crowd, we can make data be useful and powerful information on how we decide where to go.

As we were coming home from a mall, I noticed an app used by drivers to know which roads are having heavy congestion and which aren’t. So, I asked him how this is possible? He told me that there are buttons that they press to alert all drivers (using the app) where there is low, medium and heavy traffic, and only registered drivers can use this added feature. I was thinking back then that there is already an existing solution to a ubiquitous dilemma.

Therefore, let’s say we design two mobile apps, one for traffic enforcers, and one for the drivers. The app for traffic enforces presses a button about the status of his current location designated to him/her. This data goes to the headquarters for monitoring all of the traffic statuses on a map. Then, this gives the drivers important information about which way to go to their destination. It can also give the time of arrival if the roads are inundated with floods, road accident data, and maybe a nationwide breaking news notifications.

This is an effective and most affordable solution that is already existing and proven that governments may adopt to solve the traffic crisis.

Plastic Bicycle

I’ve always loved riding a bike because it’s exhilarating and fun. It’s also a good exercise to warm up your cardio and even load up some groceries on your way home. But, you’ve seen them all. They are all made up of metal iron parts. The problem is it’s heavy and you can’t bring it anywhere where you can’t ride it. A better approach is to use plastics as its material. Plastics are durable nowadays and very light. You can even use colored plastics that light up at night. You can make it modular where you can just break it apart into smaller bits (3D printed?) Even an electric one?

Anyway, a good idea which I hope will be put to good use.
